Bangkok is the capital of Thailand, which is a country located in Southeast Asia, and it has a population of roughly 70 million people. Bangkok, is the capital of the country, and its population is around 14 million people. It is by far the largest city in the country, and it is the number one tourist attraction in all of Southeast Asia. A couple of the other major metropolitan areas in the country that you might want to visit, are called Pattaya, Phuket, and Chag Mia.

If you are interested in learning about Bangkok budget accommodations, hotels can be had in the city for as little as US $10 a night. If you plan on staying for a couple of weeks or months, you can rent condos or apartments for as little as 3,000 BAHT, which equates to approximately US $100. Of course, these will not be the best accommodations, but they are cheap.

The housing in Bangkok is not the only thing that a budget traveler should enjoy. In fact, they will almost certainly get a much bigger kick out of the street food stands. These stands are everywhere, and when we say everywhere, they are literally on every street, and in every corner.

The types of dishes that the street vendors sell is almost too varied to even try to mention. Of course, there will be the local dishes, that in certain instances, you will not even know what they are selling. And then there will be the more western style meals like fried chicken, fried rice, and blueberry waffles, if you can believe it.

One word of warning, which is, the Thai people like their food unbelievably hot and spicy. In fact, if it is a Thai style dish that is well known for being hot, most Westerner’s will not even be able to eat it. Most of the street vendors in Bangkok have dealt with foreign tourist for many years now, and speak some English. If you order something from them, it is highly recommended that you say something like “Not Spicy”, “No Spicy”, or “No Hot”, so that your mouth does not catch on fire shortly after you take your first bite.

It is a nightmare getting around Bangkok, if you do not know what you are doing, and where you are going. There are very inexpensive taxis everywhere, but very few of the drivers speak good English. Thankfully, Bangkok now has the BTS (Sky Train), and a subway.

If you want to go someplace in Bangkok, your best bet is to use either the BTS or subway. Try to use Google maps to look up the location, and find the closest exit for either the BTS or subway to get off at. From there you can take a taxi, but you will need an address printed out in Thai so that the taxi driver will know exactly where to go. Most major establishments have websites that you can use to print out an address in Thai.

Bangkok nightlife has something for everybody, regardless of where you come from, or what you enjoy doing. The city itself is quite exciting, and a place that should be visited at least once in everybody’s lifetime.

If you’re looking for more information on Bangkok Budget Travel and how to get the best Bangkok Budget Accommodation, I suggest you check us out online at BestHolidaysCapital.com immediately.

There’s lots of things to see and do when visiting Las Vegas, NV. Lake Mead and Hoover Dam come to mind. But the most important landmark of them all is the Grand Canyon. Best way to see these landmarks in a day? I recommend helicopter tours. With lots of packages from which to choose, there’s a flight that’s bound to suit your sightseeing needs.

National Park air tours are the only way to go, especially when you consider how big the canyon is. Here are some quick facts:

Length: 277 miles
Width: 10 miles on average
Depth: 1 mile
Acres: 1 million plus

The canyon’s age is as impressive as its size - many scientists and geologists believe the Colorado River forged it some two million years ago. The number may be up for debate, the beauty of the scenery isn’t, as the park is ranked among the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and is one of the most visited places on the planet.

Each year, the canyon receives about five million visitors, the vast majority of which will view the gorge from the South Rim. For a views from a higher elevation, there are those who will visit the North Rim, though it is closed during the winter. Recently, the West Rim has actually become very popular, particularly with tourists who want to experience the Skywalk.

The West Rim, officially known as Grand Canyon West, sits on the Hualapai Indian Reservation, and in these tough economic times, the increase in tourism has actually helped the reservation to thrive. The natives provide visitors with a number of unique services that bundle education, cultural entertainment and guided excursions that when taken as a whole create an unforgettable vacation experience. Here’s a list of West Rim key points of interest:

Hualapai Ranch
Indian Cultural Village
Eagle Point
Guano Point

West Rim helicopter tours, all of which depart from the Las Vegas area, offer adventuresome travelers a variety of exciting activities. These are called “landing” tours, and they include trips that go to the bottom (includes a Champagne picnic), a boat ride on the famed Colorado River and an unrestricted pass to the Grand Canyon Skywalk.

Lots opt for the Skywalk, a U-shaped Glass Walkway that lets you walk past the edge. One Skywalk restriction that many find unpleasant however is the fact that they will be unable to take pictures. This is simply because there is a possibility of dropping a camera, thereby causing damage to the bridge. Luckily, you have the option of taking plenty of photos while in the air.

There’s also an aerial tour. It goes over the West Rim and provides time-crunched travelers a quick trip of this national treasure. Planes hold up to 17 people, are very comfortable and spacious and feature over-sized viewing windows that give you a clear shot of the terrain below. These air-only tours provide an unforgettable ride, but they are only the beginning!

Looking for Las Vegas helicopters that go to the West Rim? Travel writer Ione Mahler recommends these canyon flights and shares how to get them cheaply.

Amsterdam is on a beautiful canal and is filled with historic monuments, museums, and lovely country sides. From Amsterdam’s thriving metropolitan areas to the cozy countryside one can certainly keep busy on their trip. Where does one stay when on holiday in Amsterdam? One can split up their time in Amsterdam and stay in the metropolitan area and later they could move to the quaint countryside.

Some of the more popular attractions that one will not want to miss while in Amsterdam is the historic stock exchange. This is the oldest stock exchange in the world. Museums are in abundance and the traveler will certainly want to see the Rijksmuseum, The Stedelijk Museum, Hermitage Amsterdam, Amsterdam Museum and the Van Gogh Museum. One attraction that one will never forget and will touch the visitor’s heart is the Anne Frank House. Yes, Amsterdam has a red light district, located in de Wallen, with many coffee shops scattered through out; that is cannabis coffee shops. Amsterdam has many lovely canals that call the visitor to the area. There are a number of lovely parks and nature areas waiting for the visitor. Amsterdam has three main canals that were constructed during the 17th. Century. It has over 80 islands and over 1,400 bridges. Most of Amsterdam is a fun place to visit.

Depending on what the visitor likes in the way of weather determines when one visits Amsterdam. The winter months are mild and the summer months are also mild. Neither season is too hot or too cold. The months from October through March are cooler and can be gray and rainy.

If one is interested in the adult nightlife in Amsterdam, they will never be at a loss of what to do. The city has a tram system and one would be wise to learn the system. If you become lost just jump on the nearest tram, they are very easy to use. One of the most favorite coffee shops is the Abraxas, located near Dam square. They offer juice bartenders and wonderful music. The interior is stunning. There is an abundance of lounges and bars in Amsterdam.

Depending on one’s budget, there are over 400 hotel accommodations in Amsterdam, from one star to five star accommodations available. There are a number of expensive to less expensive bed and breakfast inns. There are also lesser expensive apartments and flats if your stay in Amsterdam is going to be for an extended amount of time. Depending on what you wish to visit will determine just where you would want to reserve your accommodations. Prices on accommodations plus all the amenities included for each accommodation are too numerous to mention, and again it really all depends on the travelers budget.

Since every traveler has a different budget, and different interests and tastes, they will need to do their research on what their point of interest will be. If they are in Amsterdam to see the Anne Frank House then they would be wise to reserve accommodations near that site.

Book your accommodation in Amsterdam. location appartement Amsterdam, location vacances Amsterdam, appartement Amsterdam weekend

LinkedIn is a business-related social networking site with over 135 million registered users up to this date in more than 200 countries across the globe. Whether your online travel business is local or national, you can benefit from building a LinkedIn company page.

Since a large number of travel companies cater to tourists coming from around the world, they can effectively reap the potential benefits of their LinkedIn company page where their company profile is visible to a large number of potential visitors.

Here are some of the strong reasons why web-based travel companies must have a company page on LinkedIn.

Professional Online Presence

Every internet-based travel service provider needs optimum exposure to their potential customers to create new business opportunities. By having a LinkedIn company page, such entrepreneurs can promote their operations to a large number of prospective customers effectively.

With maximum visibility, they can promote their travel services to many potential customers looking for best deals in travel and tourism sector.

Partnering with Agencies

LinkedIn is an epicenter for potential partnership opportunities across all business verticals. Online travel businesses looking for agencies to partner with, can use the platform to grow their business operations from time to time.

After creating your LinkedIn company profile, you can use the filter-search tools to choose companies operating in the similar industry and approach them business partnership. On a professional social networking platform like LinkedIn, you are more likely to succeed in your approach towards collaborative business opportunities.

SEO Benefits

Having a company page on LinkedIn can also bring you major SEO benefits your way. LinkedIn allows the users to post links of their company websites, blogs and social networks, which create useful backlinks for your website. These backlinks add value to your SEO campaign and search engine ranking to some extent.

However, you need to exercise cautions while promoting your links on LinkedIn as your potential visitors might perceive them as spammy approach to publicize your business on a professional social network.

Testimonials from Satisfied Customers

Testimonials are the key to promoting your online travel business. Just as your client testimonials on your website work effectively to get more business, testimonials from your clients, business partners, vendors and employees reflect impressively about your travel company.

As a web-based service provider, you can take advantage of this feature on LinkedIn and demonstrate your commitment to customers’ satisfaction, successful business collaboration and holistic human resources policies. All of these will help your business grow productively.

Hiring Potential Resources

LinkedIn is a very effective tool for head-hunting regardless of which industry your business belongs to. Online travel businesses are constantly on the lookout for skilled manpower to expand their business operations. Likewise, LinkedIn is also a pool of suitable profiles created by aspiring candidates looking for potential opportunities within the travel and hospitality industry.

Therefore, like any other Internet companies, you can also leverage the huge database on LinkedIn to pursue your head-hunting operation for free. However, for advanced and full-fledged features, you may subscribe to some paid packages offered by LinkedIn.

Joining Groups

LinkedIn allows users to join an existing group or create one on their own. Online travel companies can utilize this feature to make their voice heard and presence felt among their fellow group members. It goes without saying your efforts are more likely to come through when you are addressing like-minded social groups. Therefore, groups on LinkedIn can add great value to your online service business.

Conducting Industry Surveys

Aside from promotional priorities, web-based travel companies can also use LinkedIn to create polls and conduct surveys in order to establish the industry trends and consumer preferences.

The biggest advantage of creating polls in LinkedIn is that you can include or leave out selected members as per your survey strategy. Therefore, you will achieve the most authentic data from your polls and utilize the same to streamline your travel services from time to time.

Online reviews have always been an effective medium of hotel marketing. They reflect the delight of your satisfied guests and their acknowledgment to your commitment towards service quality. Positive reviews not only offer a moral fillip to your hotel staff, but also showcase your hospitality in a positive light. Having your guests to write a review is, therefore, prominently in the agenda of hotel marketing professionals.

Here are some practical and effective methods to invite your clients to write a review about your hotel.

1. Offering Cards at Check-out

When guests at your hotel check out on a happy note, make sure to offer them a card with a link to the review page of your site or Tripadvisor profile. If you’re not on Tripadvisor yet, make sure you create a profile soon as a large number of your potential guests frequent this popular travel website to gather information about their tour plans and listen in the conversation from the other tourists.

Satisfied guests are more likely to share their positive experience at your hotel and write a review on your Tripadvisor profile. This will have a positive impact on your future guests and build your industry reputability.

2. Writing Direct Emails

Writing direct emails to your past customers is also a courteous approach of hotel marketing. There’s nothing wrong with contacting your recent visitors and telling them that you would appreciate their feedback on your hospitality services. Make sure your approach is as polite and cordial as possible. When you receive their reviews, don’t forget to thank them for their time and request them to visit your hotel once again.

3. Adding Your Guests to Facebook Page

Satisfied guests are your core asset and you want to make sure they stay in touch with you. Let your guests know about your Facebook page and add them to your fan base. Encourage them to write a comment and share their experience on your page. This will add great value to your social reputation across the industry.

4. Following Your Guests on Twitter

Much like adding your guests to your hotel Facebook page, you can also request them to bond with you on your company Twitter page. Once they follow you on Twitter, you can follow them back and send a DM (Direct Message) to leave a positive comment by tweeting out their thoughts with your Twitter handle. The comment will be visible to everyone who is already following you on your company Twitter profile and add to your popularity. This is an effective way to nurture your online brand reputation and boost your business.

Although the above methods are effective to invite your guests to write a review for your hotel, a lot depends on their experience at your hotel during their stay. A satisfied visitor is more likely to leave a positive comment about your services while an annoyed customer will either ignore your request or write a negative review about your hotel.

Therefore, it is imperative for your hotel staff to take utmost care of your guests and make sure they depart happily.

With the introduction of social media models, the marketing strategies of online travel business have gone through a sea of changes. With the information travelling faster than ever, your potential customers keep themselves abreast of the latest news in the travel industry. Thus, if you do not keep face with the fast-paced information ecosystem, the competition is likely to leave you behind.

To adapt to this rapidly evolving promotional landscape, many online travel companies are now embarking on the Twitter bandwagon. Twitter is an online networking service, having over 300 million users worldwide. Believe it or not, a sizable portion of your potential customers are using this social networking tool on their mobile devices on the move. Therefore, it is increasingly critical for your online travel business to devise a well thought-out strategy in order to tap into this potential demography.

1. Resolve Customer Issues in Real-time

Today an increasing number of your prospective customers voice their views using 140 characters on Twitter. Therefore, a minor unresolved issue tweeted by one of your customers will spread across the industry like wildfire. Unless you are paying a close attention to your customer’s complaints on Twitter, the consequences can adversely impact your prospects’ decisions to choose your services going forward.

Twitter can be a very effective tool to attend to your customers complaints in real time. It takes just a couple of minutes to create a Twitter account and customize your Twitter page for your online travel business. There are many Twitter tools and plugins to help you keep track of what your customers say on Twitter and addressing them quickly enough.

For example, there are many customers who may need your help to resolve one of the issues related to a technical snag during online ticket booking on your website. Twitter enables you to reach out to such customers immediately and resolve their queries quickly enough.

2. Promote Travel Deals to Customers

Thanks to the sheer presence of potential customers, Twitter has evolved into a favorite destination for promoting lucrative travel deals many online travel companies use on the Internet. Today, your potential customers use Twitter to stay abreast of the latest travel deals offered by the competition.

Interestingly, a promotional tweet about your travel deal can fly thick and fast across your target audience on Twitter, helping your voice reach out to a large number of prospects. Online travel businesses having creative tweeting skills can benefit from their Twitter campaign to an inconceivable extent.

3. Monitor Your Online Reputation

According to statistics, Twitter generates over 300 million tweets and handles over 1.6 billion search queries on a given day. Owing to these burgeoning figures, even a single tweet reflecting some negative sentiments by a potential customer can make or break your industry repute.

In such a tweet-sensitive scenario, online travel agencies should actively use Twitter to monitor their online social reputation. An online travel company, for example, can keep a close watch on their customers who are talking about them on Twitter. This way, they can reach out to the origin of a negative and potentially damaging tweet and look into the issue immediately.

Even a hoax tweet about your services can be potentially dangerous to your social repute if it goes unnoticed and unresolved.

4. Acknowledge Customer Loyalty

Twitter is a great tool for building customer loyalty in rapidly evolving online travel industry. For an online travel business, there are many ways to build your customers loyalty. Even a simple tweet acknowledging the gratitude of a satisfied customer could go a long way in building positive atmosphere for your business.

Twitter also opens up many opportunities for online travel companies to share the statistics of their growth and achievement, helping foster the bonding between their business and customers. In return, the customers will retweet your tweets, helping your reputability grow organically.

Social networking channels have emerged as an innovative tool for business promotion in the online travel industry, and many companies have now adopted these nifty social marketing tools as an integral part of their online advertising agenda. While Facebook and Twitter have already carved a niche in the social networking game already, Google+ is not far behind.

According to Wikipedia, Google+ is adding nearly 625,000 users on a daily basis, and will achieve over 400 million users by the end of 2012. With such a massive user base, it’s no wonder why online travel business owners are now taking Google+ seriously for marketing their services.

As an online travel business owner, you can also take advantage of the interesting features of Google+ and gain incredible marketing mileage from your promotional drive. Here is why every online travel business cries for a presence on Google+.

Facebook marketing, being the order of the day, figures prominently in the social marketing agendas of most of the online travel entrepreneurs. So what benefits does Facebook Page offer to promote your online travel business?

Here are some answers:

1. Keeping Your Customers Engaged

Facebook page empowers the web businesses and the consumers alike. Internet travel entrepreneurs can share relevant and interesting content on their Facebook page to keep their customers busy and engaged. This opens up a great opportunity for them to share their service plans and packages directly with their prospective customers.

Since your potential competitors are constantly targeting a similar consumer segment, Facebook page allows you to establish a strong connection with your audience to stay ahead in the game.

2. Exploring Your Customers Taste

The online travel industry is growing extremely competitive these days, and it is rather complex to discover the taste of your customers as it evolves quite dramatically across the seasons. This is where your Facebook page can save you the trouble of losing out on the potential consumer data you could leverage to build better products and more customized service packages.

To begin with, Facebook page allows the online travel business owners to interact with their fans frequently enough to explore more information related to their travel tastes and choices. This enables them to come up with better ideas to tailor their service packages as per their customers’ choices.

3. Tailoring Services with Customers Feedback

These days, quite a few internet recreation websites are using their Facebook pages to engage their customers in the process of designing customer-friendly tour packages. Gone are the days when there was a yawning gap between the web travel service providers and the target customers.

Today, Facebook pages have bridged the gap quite successfully, helping internet-based companies engage their customers and launch the right kind of service packages.

4. Conducting Customer Satisfaction Survey

Facebook page is a nifty survey marketing tool in the way it allows the web entrepreneurs conduct customer satisfaction surveys among their loyal fans on Facebook. Many such businesses leverage the smart and advanced question tool on the Facebook page to gather customer feedback about their recently launched service packages and their experiences using the packages.

With many unbridled and direct response from customers, online companies are able to gain creative insights into their customers’ experiences and expectations for their future product ideas and thereby, tailor their services to make them more appealing and customer-friendly.

5. Building Customer Loyalty

In the post-Facebook era, nearly all business owners thrive on customer loyalty today and the online travel industry is no exception. In fact, the trust and credibility factors are even more critical to establishing a sustainable growth among web entities. Therefore, it is imperative for the e-companies to stay connected to their customers and keep them engaged more often to build on their loyalty.

Facebook page is a must for all ambitious web entrepreneurs and you need to harness the hidden potentials creatively for creating better experiences for your customers and take your travel business places.

It might seem like any inn located near the coast would be an acceptable place to stay while vacationing. But when looking for a great hotel in Pismo Beach, there are a few things you should keep in mind to make the most of your vacation. Consider location, pricing, amenities, and customer service and satisfaction.

Location
Your ideal Pismo Beach lodging should be close to two things: the water, and your preferred activities. The whole reason for going to the coast is to enjoy the water and the sand, so the smaller the distance to get there, the better. Plus, who wouldn’t love an ocean view? Sometimes, though, a visit to the city is necessary and makes the experience more fun. When looking for motels in Pismo Beach, find out how far the “fun” sites are. Going downtown, to the pier, to shop, to eat, or even to bowl should not be a challenging ordeal for you and your family. The best place will offer the best of both worlds–natural and city.

Pricing
Trips can be costly. Along with travel by plane or car and food costs, this is no doubt something you should consider. Be on the lookout for specials. Does the hotel in Pismo Beach have special offers on longer stays? You should probably pay less per day if you are staying for a month than somebody staying for just a week. Also, costs can vary by season. Figuring out when you want to go (and what kind of weather you want to have) will affect how much you pay. Naturally, the busy season would be more costly. Lastly, an oceanfront view may or may not be worth the extra money for you. Figure out which works best with your budget.

Amenities
Your stay should be comfortable. If this is a big family outing, will a studio-sized place suffice, or should you get a multi-bedroom suite? If you are looking for modern amenities, find a place that can accommodate you. Wireless internet comes standard these days, as well as cable television channels. You should make sure that (especially in warmer climates) air conditioning is available. And depending on the length of your stay, you might need more of a homey feel (e.g. refrigerators, laundry, etc.).

Customer Service and Satisfaction
At some point, it will be necessary to contact the front desk with questions about one thing or another. Call for reservations and pricing specials, and gauge their helpfulness. Check the ratings of the place online. Are there customer comments? Some hotel websites will have a guestbook where customers can leave comments about their experiences. These can be helpful to factor in to your decision as well. If you’re paying big money, you should expect big service.

In short, the primary things to consider are location, pricing, amenities, and customer service and satisfaction. Do your research to find out if the Pismo Beach lodging you are considering will meet your needs.

The Sea Gypsy Motel is one of the jewels of the Central Coast of California. We welcome you to make motels in Pismo Beach your home away from home.(http://www.seagypsymotel.com)

Panama is not always all about the Canal. There are many other places in the country that are often overlooked. These include the Darien or Isla San Jose for the outdoorsy and adventurous tourists. For those that are just out to relax and take a load off, there are many other tourist destinations available for all to see and experience in Panama.

The Islands. There are many islands in Panama, the most popular is known as San Blas Islands. This is where the Kuna, amongst the world’s smallest people, live their way of life prior to the “discovery” of the Americas. The Kuna govern the region and have created policies that limit eco-tourism to live and fit with their indigenous way of life. The waters around the island are colored baby blue with many island rock formations. There white sand beaches and one can go island hopping, swimming from one island to another around the main island.

The Highlands. Called the Boquete Region, this is a little mountain area where the towns of Boquete and Volcan are located. The area is six hours by land from Panama City but can be reached via flight into David City. From David City, the region is just a 45 minute drive. Among the best in the area are fresh strawberries and nata. One of the most famous restaurants is called The Rock. There are many sights to see in the region, such as ancient petroglyphs, horse farms and national forests where a dormant 11,000 foot volcano is located. These are just some of the many experiences and memories to be had in the region.

The City. Panama City is still amongst the top attractions in Panama itself. One of the most beautiful areas is Casco Viejo with its historic architecture. The city is dotted with majestic plazas and one can be entertained in the National Theater. The most romantic area is Plaza Bolivar, as there are cafes and the famed Salon Bolivar. This is the area where Simon Bolivar tried to create a league of nations of South America to make a United Pan Americas. The beach is also a stone’s throw from the city, just twelve miles away.

As can be seen, Panama is so much more than the Canal. There are beaches, highlands and cityscapes for the itinerant traveler to the country. Visiting the country can be done and thus enrich one’s outlook and experience with Panama.

Bobby Castro is the online editor at Gringos, where he has published a number of articles about Panama news for expats and many other topics.
